Food Microbiology and Food Legislation

  1. Introductory Food Microbiology
    One day course designed for non-food microbiologists. Covers all categories of microorganisms with selected foodborne diseases as examples.

  2. Advanced Food Microbiology
    Two day course designed for food professionals needing a refresher course and for food professionals who require advanced training in food microbiology. Includes most common bacterial, viral and parasitic foodborne diseases and most vulnerable foods that these groups are commonly associated with.

    Both the above courses have a basic structure, which can be adapted to meet specific client requirements.

  3. Understanding and Establishing Microbiological Criteria
    Half or full day, depending on detail required and background of participants. 

  4. Food Legislation
    One day course designed for anyone desiring training in South African food legislation. Covers the major food regulations as a core element of the course, whilst specific regulations for a specific sector can be added as desired by the client.
